Sweetest Saffron
As the Sun rises on the horizon amidst clouds of stratus,
I’m reminded of your essence, bright and emerald-like.
Sweet sickles of honey, scents of roses and hibiscus,
Your presence embodied in fragrances that strike.
The radiant smells of vanilla and sycamore
All a part of your orchid, captivating and pure.
Like Dante’s Beatrice, your grace I adore,
Through the shadows of the valleys and abyss.
You’re the iris that conceals all the gloom;
In my world, you are Atossa, my guiding bloom.
Of the sweetness of saffron and warmth of ginger,
Surreal honey sensations, the sweetest singer.
The purest of heart, the rarest Nubian gold;
Sweet magnolia’s innocence, Orpheus bold.
Everlasting presence, seasonal Demeter,
Cascaded my inner dark, my imperious winter.
From spring, the inner shadows of forlorn arose;
Thou, the summer light, dispelling my cold fears.
Yearly tears that left me cold and morose,
Your summer rainbow, the essence that endears.
As dawn approaches, Night opens her sparkling arms;
Bewitched, I become in the enclave of her Vega charms,
Yet saved by your celestial grace, your captivating palms.
The Alchemy!
The Sweetest Saffron!
