As an ace/aro individual, I often feel pressured by a society that prioritises amatonormativity. To counter this, I draw strength from history and mythology, looking to powerful women and goddesses who thrived without companionship, reminding me to embrace who I am.
This poem is inspired by Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky. It was created by combining nonsense poetry and a horror tale which was a fun experiment. It's one of my favourite pieces I've made.
