Of Darkened Waters
I tangled in the lore of contaminated waters,
Bewitched I have become in my knighthood.
Christened by the dark, muddy waters of ill deeds,
And sin of the darkest high.
Riddance of my soul I wish to beseech,
For the purest hatred of Delilah runs through my veins.
It burns, as the phoenix ablaze—
My burning desire, or the rekindling of passion to reoffend.
The alchemy of the darkest shadows of the valley enamoured me,
Shaken at its allure but sickened by its grief.
The stagnation of morality and depravity of misdeeds.
How I wandered in the darkness where grace flees,
Lilith in temptation lured me to tempest seas,
To delve into the forbidden seed.
Seek ye first, young kindred, as she deceives,
With words that minister to my soul, meek.
The hold and capture it renders thee,
And ’twas the reason I am thee,
A lost soul in darkened waters,
Of which, of help and refuge, I plead.
